    There exists opportunistic situations when Castle and Bishop Financial invests its’ own venture capital in corporate acquisitions. In 2018 Castle and Bishop formed Mighty Oaks Media LLC in order to acquire The Montgomery News, a 25 year old community newspaper covering Montgomery Township, New Jersey.

    The paper serves the New Jersey communities of Montgomery, Belle Mead, Blawenberg, Harlingen, Rocky Hill and Skillman, has a circulation of 25,000 homes, and is mailed directly to each home. Montgomery Township has a highly educated readership, and is ranked as having the #7th highest per capita income in New Jersey. 

    Upon acquiring the newspaper, Castle and Bishop hired an award-winning news reporter for the role of Editor in Chief with extensive experience in the media field, having formerly held corporate communications positions at Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Rutgers University. The newspaper has been reconfigured and is stylized with color photos and additional local coverage, as well as an online presence (www.theMontyNews.com).
